PUNE, 6th June 2024: Pune claimed the third place registering a resounding 5-0 victory over Raigad in the Western India Football Association (WIFA) Inter District Football Championship Junior Girls at Boisar, Palghar on Thursday.
In the battle of two losing semi-finalists, Pune stamped their authority with Yashika Tejwani (4th, 20th, 30) leading the way with a brilliant individual performance. A goal each by Angela Guttal (21st) and Tanisha Ajmera (26th) completed the comprehensive win.
Earlier, Thane downed Kolhapur 1-0 to emerge champions. In end analysis, Thane topped by finishing first, Kolhapur finished second and Pune finished third.
