Pune, Maharashtra | 27th October 2026: Godrej Capital, the financial services arm of the Godrej Industries Group, through its subsidiary Godrej Housing Finance, has strengthened its Affordable Housing Finance presence in Maharashtra with an expanded footprint in Kharadi, Pune, reinforcing its focus on high-potential urban micro-markets and emerging residential corridors across the state.
Kharadi has emerged as one of Pune’s fastest-growing residential micro-markets, supported by strong infrastructure, IT-led employment growth, and improved lifestyle connectivity. The area’s proximity to major business districts and technology hubs continues to drive consistent housing demand, particularly from professionals and first-time homebuyers.
Ongoing residential development, steady buyer interest, and Pune’s broader momentum in housing registrations are strengthening Kharadi’s position as a resilient and high-growth residential market. Together, these factors are supporting sustained demand across affordable and mid-segment housing, positioning Kharadi as a key contributor to Pune’s expanding urban housing landscape.
Commenting on the expansion, Mr. Mehernosh Tata, MD & CEO, Godrej Housing Finance, said, “Maharashtra remains a priority market for us, supported by strong housing demand across urban and emerging centres. Our expansion into tier-2 cities and micro-markets is focused on improving affordability and access for first-time homebuyers and self-employed customers. Through a distribution-led approach, technology-enabled underwriting, and customer-centric solutions, we aim to deliver responsible and inclusive housing finance at scale.”
Supporting the Government of India’s broader vision of ‘Housing for All’, Godrej Capital offers Affordable Housing Loans with flexible tenures for salaried and self-employed customers, including first-time homebuyers. As part of its ecosystem-driven strategy, the company continues to strengthen partnerships with over 4,000 local connectors, developers, and channel partners to reach emerging micro-markets, while targeting an AUM of over ₹11,800 crore by the end of this financial year.
As of August 2026, Godrej Capital’s total AUM stood over ₹30,000 crores, with Maharashtra accounting for nearly 30% of Godrej Housing Finance’s portfolio.
