Bengaluru, 27 March 2026 – Ultraviolette Automotive today announced its proposed five-year investment plan aimed at significantly expanding its manufacturing footprint in Karnataka. The phased program includes capacity enhancement at the company’s existing facility and the establishment of a new production plant in the state. This strategic expansion underscores Ultraviolette’s long-term commitment to Karnataka and reinforces its vision to accelerate India’s fast-evolving electric mobility sector.
In line with its vision for growth, Ultraviolette entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Karnataka on the sidelines of the ‘Invest Karnataka’ Conclave in Bengaluru. The MoU was formalized in the presence of Shri M. B. Patil, Honourable Minister for Large & Medium Industries, Karnataka.
Speaking on the announcement, Narayan Subramaniam, CEO & Co-founder of Ultraviolette said, “Karnataka has been central to Ultraviolette’s vision of Making in India for the World. Headquartered in Bengaluru, Ultraviolette’s proprietary battery technology combined with futuristic design and performance engineering is reflected strongly across its product portfolio that consist of performance motorcycles – F77 and X-47 Crossover. Ultraviolette has established a strong national presence with over 40 experience centres across major Indian cities and will be present across 100 cities by end of 2026.
Beyond India, Ultraviolette is gaining momentum in its global expansion, with presence in 12 European countries, making it India’s first electric two-wheeler manufacturer to enter Europe, with plans to further scale across Asia and Latin America.
