Pune : CHETI CHAND, a sindhi new year and 1074th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Sai Jhulelal will be celebrated on Wednesday, 10th April 2024 at Deccan College Banquet Hall, Deccan College Ground, Near Bombay Saphers, Yerwada, Pune, informed by Ashok Waswani, President of Sindhu Seva Dal (SSD) in the press conference.
Sindhu Seva Dal’s Past President Suresh Jethwani, Vijay Daswani & Deepak Wadhavani, Secretary Sachin Talreja, Treasurer Rajendra Pherwani, & Public Relations Officer Devendra Chawla were present on the occasion.
Ashok Waswani said that this year, chief guest for the program is Srichand Aswani, Founder & Director of Aswani Promoters & Builders. Prominent Sindhi personality like Justice (Rted) & former Lokayukta of Maharashtra M. L. Tahaliyani and Dr. Lachmandas Pherwani (Former Associate Professor at B.J. Medical College & Sasoon Hospital) will be honored.
Suresh Jethwani said that, the fete will start by offering Pooja Arti to Sai Jhulelal at 7 pm and will be followed by various social and cultural programs as well as non-stop entertainment programs. This year the live concert of Sindhi Orchestra will be played by Rockstar singer Shubham Nathani & his troop from Mumbai and popular versitile singer Drusthi Kukreja from Nagpur, Master Harshal from Bhilwara, Rajasthan. Bhagyashri Daryani from Jaipur standup Comedian and social media influencer will also performed. Various cultural and young generation dances performances by GND Group of Pune.
World Sindh Language day happens on April 10th celebrating the Indo-Aryan language of the historical Sindh region in the Western part of the Indian continent. The name ‘Sindhi’ is derived from Sindhu, the original name of Indus River, he added the whole programme will be hosted by Mohit Shewani from Mumbai, to be known as Sindhi’s Kapil Sharma. This will be followed by Preeti Bhoj for all devotees. Well-known dignitories from Sindhi community will be present as a guests for the festival. Sindhi Prominent Personalities will be honoured, he added.
