PVG College inks MoU with Progression School to set up ‘Agentic AI Centre of Excellence’ in Pune

Pune: Pune Vidyarthi Griha’s (PVG) College of Engineering, Technology & Management has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Progression School to establish an Agentic AI Centre of Excellence on campus. The initiative aims to foster innovation, research, and development in the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence, while supporting the holistic development of students.

The agreement was formalized during a four-day Agentic AI workshop organized by the college on the occasion of World AI Day. Titled ‘Future Applications of AI’, the workshop saw participation from over 1,000 students and professionals, offering them hands-on experience through immersive coding sessions and interactive modules.

As part of this collaboration, PVG College has revamped its 500-seat seminar hall into a fully Wi-Fi-enabled Dynamic Learning Hub to host real-time AI coding sessions. The large-scale infrastructure enabled seamless execution of coding tracks with 300–400 participants per session.

Industry experts, including Vivek Agrawal, Director of Learning & Development at Excellerant Technologies and Progression School, led the workshop sessions. Entrepreneur Rohit Ghosh delivered insights on AI’s business impact, while Mind Coach Mrs. Mridula Ujwal conducted sessions on stress management for students and participants.

The event also served as a platform for PVG’s leadership to engage in strategic discussions with industry partners. Among those present were PVG Director Sunil Redekar, Professor Rajendra Kaduskar, Principal Dr. Manoj Tarambale, and Dr. Sunil Gaikwad.

Speaking on the occasion, Sunil Redekar said, “PVG has consistently championed the integration of advanced technologies into education. This centre will help students stay ahead in the AI-driven world and equip them with the skills essential for future careers. We will continue hosting such high-impact workshops to nurture knowledge, foster innovation, and promote meaningful industry-academic collaboration.”
