Pune: Nathabhau Shewale, the state president of the Maharashtra Janata Dal (Secular) party, congratulated H.D. Kumaraswamy, senior leader of the Janata Dal (Secular) and former Chief Minister of Karnataka, on his appointment as a Union Minister. The congratulatory visit took place today (Sunday) at Kumaraswamy’s residence in Delhi. Present during the occasion were Ajmal Khan, the party’s Chief General Secretary, and Adv. Sangram Shewale, Maharashtra State President of the Student Front. H.D. Kumaraswamy mentioned during the meeting that he would soon be visiting Maharashtra.
In a press release issued by Nathabhau Shewale, the joy over Kumaraswamy’s appointment was expressed. “The appointment of H.D. Kumaraswamy as a Union Minister has created a joyful atmosphere within the party, and it will greatly strengthen the workers and officials of the Maharashtra Janata Dal (Secular) party. A party convention in Maharashtra will soon be organized in the presence of Kumaraswamy,” the release stated.
