Pune | Correspondent: Temperatures across Maharashtra are steadily rising, with Akola recording the highest temperature in the state. The Meteorological Department has warned that April 17 could be the hottest day of the month, as a heat wave is expected to affect large parts of the state over the next four days.
Cities including Pune are likely to witness a daily increase of 1–2°C in temperature. However, some relief is expected on April 18 and 19, with forecasts indicating light rainfall and cloudy conditions in certain regions.
