Dhayari (Pune): The impact of rising tensions and the war-like situation between Iran and the United States is now being felt by common citizens. Due to delays in the supply of LPG cylinders, residents of Dhayari and nearby areas are facing significant inconvenience, leading to growing frustration among the public.
Many residents said that even after booking a gas cylinder, they are forced to wait up to ten days for delivery. This delay has created serious difficulties in managing daily cooking needs. Citizens questioned how families are expected to manage meals when essential fuel for cooking is not available on time.
Since early morning, long queues have been forming outside gas agencies in Dhayari. Several residents reported that people start lining up as early as 6 a.m. in the hope of getting a cylinder. Many citizens have also raised concerns about the government’s preparedness, stating that proper planning should have been done considering the international situation.
Expressing their frustration, some residents said, “We are not receiving gas for ten days. There are children and elderly people at home. How are we supposed to cook?” Others questioned the situation, asking why such delays are occurring for a basic household necessity.
Meanwhile, the District Collector has clarified that there is no official gas shortage in the district. However, on the ground, residents in Dhayari and surrounding areas claim that cylinders are not being delivered on time, which has led to dissatisfaction among consumers.
Gas agencies contacted regarding the issue stated that distribution is being carried out according to the available supply. They added that cylinders are being delivered to customers as soon as stock is received, in line with government guidelines.
