CNH, a global leader in agriculture and construction equipment, has completed its largest-ever single delivery of sugarcane mechanization equipment in India. The company handed over 117 Case IH sugarcane harvesters and 234 New Holland tractors to the Deshmukh (Manjra) Group from Latur, Maharashtra. The delivery was led by the CEO of CNH, Mr. Gerritt Marx during his recent visit to India.
A pioneer in introducing sugarcane harvesters to India, CNH leads the segment with sustainable, high-performance solutions that tackle labour shortages, improve operational efficiency, and ensure timely harvesting-key to long-term agricultural resilience.
Mr. Narinder Mittal, President and Managing Director, CNH India, said, “As a leader in this segment, we are proud to partner with the Deshmukh Group to accelerate India’s mechanization journey. The trust our customers place in CNH reflects our commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance solutions designed for their needs. Sugarcane sustains millions of rural families in Maharashtra and across India. By embracing mechanized harvesting, we can transform this lifeline — boosting productivity, ensuring timely harvests, and improving farmer incomes.”
On this occasion, Mr. Dheeraj Vilasrao Deshmukh, Director, Manjra Group, said, “We have been using CNH equipment for over a decade, and the consistent quality, safety, and reliability of their machines have earned our complete trust. Whenever we look at expanding or upgrading our fleet, CNH remains our preferred partner. With this new delivery, we are confident of further strengthening our operations and creating greater value for farmers and the sugarcane sector in Maharashtra.”
The Deshmukh (Manjra) Group is a leading agribusiness enterprise known for progressive sugarcane cultivation practices. A long-standing CNH customer, the group owns 10 sugar mills in India and already operates over 45 sugarcane harvesters and 90 tractors, making it CNH’s biggest customer in India.
These advanced harvesters boost farm efficiency and productivity by promoting mechanization with the latest technology—an urgent need for India in Agricultural segment. They offer sustainable solutions for sugarcane cultivation and harvesting, improving efficiency, reducing crop loss and enhancing working conditions. Additionally, they create youth employment through skill development. To address the shortage of trained operators, the company’s training programs, in partnership with sugar mills, support a sustainable sugarcane crop cycle from pre-sowing to post-harvest.
