Mumbai Corona Alert | May 20, 2025 – COVID-19 has resurfaced in Mumbai with 53 new positive cases detected in the month of May, prompting the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to step into alert mode. Sadly, two patients have died, both of whom had pre-existing conditions – one with cancer and the other with nephrotic syndrome. Both were admitted to KEM Hospital in Mumbai.

As countries like China, Singapore, Hong Kong, and others in East Asia witness a spike in COVID cases, similar trends are now being observed in Mumbai. This global pattern has led the BMC to proactively initiate precautionary measures.
🏥 Emergency Healthcare Setup: 112 Beds Ready at ‘Seven Hills’ & ‘Kasturba’ Hospitals
To manage any potential rise in cases, 112 beds have been made ready at Seven Hills Hospital in Andheri and Kasturba Hospital in Chinchpokli. The BMC has also issued a new public health advisory for citizens.
