Major Development in Porsche Car Accident Case; Pune Police Request Fast-Track Trial in Court

Pune: A significant update has emerged in the high-profile Porsche car accident case that shook the Kalyaninagar area of Pune. The Pune Police have submitted a letter to the district court urging for a speedy trial of the case. Charges have been filed against all ten accused, and the police have requested the court to set a fast-track schedule for the hearings.

According to sources, the charge sheet against all accused has been filed, and the Special Public Prosecutor has submitted the charge confirmation draft in court. However, the trial proceedings are delayed as bail and acquittal pleas from the defense side are still pending. Doctor Ajay Tavare, one of the accused, has a bail hearing scheduled for May 20, while accused Aditya Sood’s hearing is set for May 19. Meanwhile, bail has already been granted to accused Shivani Agrawal.

Additionally, the police have alleged that blood samples of the minor driver and his two minor friends were tampered with to destroy evidence. Due to this serious charge, the police have urged the court administration to expedite the trial process.

The accident involved a 17-year-old minor son of a Pune-based construction businessman, who, while under the influence of alcohol, crashed his luxury Porsche car into a motorcycle at high speed. Tragically, two IT engineers — Anish Avadhia (27) and Ashwini Kosta — died on the spot. The case garnered widespread attention across Maharashtra and the country.

With the Pune Police’s push for swift judicial proceedings, there is hope that the case will reach a conclusion soon, ensuring justice is served promptly.
