- Recent Network upgrades in L900 MHz, L1800 MHz, L2100 MHz, and L2500 MHz spectrum in more than 6500 locations have scaled up users’ network experience
Leading telecom operator, Vodafone Idea (Vi), today announced that it has been recognized in Opensignal’s 4G Network Experience Report November 2024*, which examines the 4G experience of 4G users. As per the report, Vi comes 1st in key consumer experience parameters delivering the top download speeds, Voice App and Gaming experience in Maharashtra.
This recognition underscores Vi’s efforts to enhance network performance across the region. Earlier this year in April, Vi successfully raised Rs. 18,000 crore via FPO and is committed to ramp up and enhance its 4G network nationwide.
As part of these efforts, Vi has upgraded nearly 6,500 4G locations in the region. The telecom operator has enhanced connectivity by deploying additional layers on the 900 MHz and 2100 MHz spectrum bands across 4,100+ locations, delivering superior indoor coverage and improved data speeds. Furthermore, Vi expanded network bandwidth from 10 MHz to 15 MHz on the 2100 MHz spectrum band across 2,000+ locations. These enhancements have increased the overall network capacity by 12%.

- Vi Max Postpaid –Choose Your Benefits: Vi’s ‘Choose Your Benefits’ is the only proposition in the industry that gives customers full control with the freedom to opt for exclusive lifestyle benefits that are relevant to them. With ‘Choose Your Benefits’, customers can choose from an array of benefits from four different categories like Entertainment, Food, Travel, and Mobile Security, as per their requirement or interest.
