New Delhi, 16 June 2026: Compass Group India, part of Compass Group, a world leader in food and facility management services, today announced the appointment of Rahul Shinde as Managing Director, effective 16th June 2026.
As India’s workplace and institutional ecosystem undergoes rapid transformation, Compass Group India is entering a new phase of growth, driven by evolving client expectations, rising demand for integrated food and support services, and increasing emphasis on innovation, experience, sustainability and operational excellence. Rahul’s appointment reflects the company’s commitment to building a future-ready organisation equipped to capture the opportunities emerging across corporate workplaces, manufacturing, healthcare, education and other institutional sectors.
Rahul joins Compass Group India with an exceptional track record at the intersection of scale, strategy and execution, with his leadership experience spanning India, Asia, Europe and the United States. He holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Most recently, Rahul served as Chief Executive Officer of Yum! Brands and Whole Time Director at Devyani International Limited, India’s largest Yum! Brands franchisee and a publicly listed company. He oversaw a network of more than 1,800 restaurants across KFC, Pizza Hut, Costa Coffee and Highway Food Courts. Under his leadership, the business accelerated expansion significantly, increasing annual store openings from approximately 50 to more than 300 while modernising over 500 existing locations and strengthening operational performance across the portfolio.
Prior to this, Rahul served as General Manager for KFC Greater Asia, leading the business across Japan, Indonesia, Korea, Myanmar and Mongolia. His experience combines commercial acumen, operational rigour and a deep understanding of how technology, data and talent can be leveraged to build high-performing organisations at scale.
