Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnaad Mahotsav sparks spiritual awakening and national consciousness!

Introduction: In today’s world, where tensions are escalating and the threat of global conflict looms large, including in India, the atmosphere is increasingly uncertain; so much so that the spark of a 3rd World War could ignite at any time. In such volatile times, it is imperative that India rises as a beacon of spiritual power by establishing itself as the Sanatan Rashtra. To strengthen the Sanatan Shakti; the spiritual force that is the very essence of India, a grand and historic event, the Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnaad Mahotsav, was held in Goa from May 17th to 19th, 2025. This monumental gathering drew more than 30,000 devoted followers of Sanatan dharma from 23 countries, including India. The participants included saints, mahants, Hindutva-committed leaders, political dignitaries, social activists, spiritual seekers, and devout followers. Additionally, over 2.5 lakh viewers from India and abroad joined the event through a live broadcast. Organized to mark the 83rd birth anniversary of Sachchidanand Parabrahma Dr. Jayant Athavale, the revered founder of Sanatan sanstha, as well as the Silver Jubilee year of the sanstha, the mahotsav resonated with both spiritual and warrior-like energy, Brahmatej and Kshatratej. This mahotsav imbued the collective national resolve with spiritual strength, reaffirming the vision of establishing a Hindu Rashtra modelled on Ram Rajya. As such, the Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnaad Mahotsav stands as a landmark milestone in the journey toward the realization of this divine mission.

At the heart of the Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnaad Mahotsav was Sachchidanand Parabrahma Dr. Jayant Athavale, whose profound guidance; the Bodhamrut; offered a unique synthesis of personal spiritual practice and collective action for Dharma Raksha (protection of righteousness) and Rashtra Raksha (protection of the nation). His teachings served as the spiritual nucleus of the mahotsav, reinforcing the path toward the realization of a Sanatan Rashtra. The mahotsav was graced by a host of revered saints, spiritual leaders, and dignitaries, including Parampujya Swami Govinddev Giriji, Treasurer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust; Pujya Mahant Ravindra Puriji Maharaj, President, Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad; Pujya Mahant Raju Das, Hanumangarhi, Ayodhya; Padmashri Sadguru Brahmashanandacharya Swamiji, Pithadheeshwar, Shri Kshetra Tapobhoomi (Goa); Pujya Devkinandan Thakurji Maharaj, pioneer of the ‘Sanatan Board’; Shripadji Naik, Union Minister of State for Energy; Dr. Pramodji Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa; Shri. Uday Mahurkar, former Central Information Commissioner; T. Raja Singh, MLA from Bhagyanagar and Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, Supreme Court lawyer and lead counsel in the Kashi-Mathura temple cases. These luminaries, along with other saints, mahants, thinkers, and Hindutva-committed leaders, not only provided ideological direction for the establishment of the Sanatan rashtra but also stirred the hearts of attendees to take concrete action in that pursuit. A special highlight of the mahotsav was the honouring of 25 dharma warriors, who have selflessly dedicated their lives to the cause of nation and religion. They were awarded the prestigious ‘Hindu Rashtra Ratna’ and ‘Sanatan Dharmashree’ awards. The Sanatan tradition venerates both the scripture (Shastra) and the weapon (Shastra) in the service of dharma. This eternal truth was powerfully reaffirmed at the Mahotsav, symbolizing the holistic approach required to protect and uphold Sanatan values in the modern age.

Special moments of the mahotsav : The Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnaad Mahotsav was marked by rare, spiritually uplifting events that embodied the essence of India’s timeless heritage and divine legacy.

Invocation of Brahmateja: A spiritually momentous highlight was the public darshan of a sacred remnant of the Somnath Shivling; the 1st among the 12 Jyotirlingas; destroyed a millennium ago by the invader Muhammad Ghazni. Faithful priests had preserved fragments of the original Shivling in secrecy for centuries. This divine relic, steeped in both sacrifice and sanctity, became a powerful symbol of the indomitable spirit of Sanatan dharma and a major attraction at the mahotsav.

In a rare and spiritually charged display, the padukas of 15 revered saints from India’s rich saint tradition were placed together at the venue. This included the sacred padukas of Samarth Ramdas Swami, Pujya Gondavalekar Maharaj, Pujya Brahmanand Maharaj, Pujya Gagangiri Maharaj, and Kanifnath Maharaj. Bringing together the divine aura of so many saints in one place offered an unparalleled spiritual experience to the attendees.

The 1 crore collective Ramnaam japa yadnya; a mass chanting of “Shri Ram” by devotees; resonated with divine vibrations aimed at invoking Lord Rama’s blessings for establishing Ram Rajya. The Mahadhanvantari Yadnya, conducted for universal health and healing, added a profound devotional depth to the occasion. The hoisting of the Sanatan dharma dhvaja (flag) symbolized the resurgence and unwavering resolve to uphold dharma and national pride.

Cultural Treasure: As part of the Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnaad Mahotsav, the event also celebrated India’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage through soul-stirring devotional performances. Renowned National Kirtankar Dr. Charudatta Aphale delivered a powerful kirtan titled ‘Yuddhaya Kritnischayah’, inspiring the audience with its urgent call for action. The central message of the kirtan was clear: the time has come to rise against injustice and actively participate in the protection of dharma and the rashtra.

Adding to the cultural richness, a moving Gurusankirtan was performed through a blend of devotional singing and traditional dance, offering homage to the Gurutatva and awakening collective devotion among the thousands in attendance.

Shatchandi yadnya held amidst heavy rain: On the 3rd and final day of the Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnaad Mahotsav, after the Mahadhanvantari yadnya, the Shatchandi yadnya was scheduled to invoke divine blessings for India’s victory in a potential Indo-Pakistan war. Remarkably, on the same day, Goa experienced a sudden downpour, flooding the area with knee-deep water. Yet, in what many called a miraculous occurrence, not a single drop of rainwater entered the main pavilion where the sacred Shatchandi yadnya was taking place. Despite the adverse weather, the entire ritual was conducted smoothly and without disruption, reinforcing the spiritual energy and divine grace that permeated the event.

Awakening of Kshatratej: A powerful symbol of valour and heritage, the grand exhibition of historical and rare weapons from the era of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was one of the major attractions of the Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnaad Mahotsav. The exhibition featured original shackles used by Aurangzeb to imprison Dharmaveer Sambhaji Maharaj, a deeply moving reminder of sacrifice for dharma. Also on display were the sword of Sardar Yesaji Kank and the armour of Sardar Kanhoji Jedhe, both valiant warriors of the Maratha era. In addition, the exhibition included weapon collections from Savyasachi Gurukulam (Kolhapur), Shivai Sansthan (Pune), and ancient arms preserved by the Saundekar family of Goa. This inspiring display rekindled the Kshatriya spirit among the attendees and underscored the importance of courage and self-defence in the protection of dharma and rashtra.

The mahotsav also featured breathtaking demonstrations of Shivaji Maharaj’s martial arts and traditional self-defence techniques. These powerful displays captivated the audience and served as a reminder of the strength, discipline, and courage that defined the Maratha warrior spirit. In today’s times; when India faces threats from radical terrorism; Shivaji Maharaj’s military genius and bravery stand as a timeless source of inspiration. His ideals have become a guiding force in the movement to establish the Sanatan rashtra, instilling in citizens the resolve to defend dharma and the rashtra with valour.

Spiritual tourism boosted in Goa: The Sanatan devotees who attended the mahotsav took the opportunity to visit various temples and historical sites across Goa. This significantly boosted spiritual tourism in the region. The mahotsav played a crucial role in conveying a powerful message to dignitaries from India and abroad that Goa is not merely a ‘land of pleasure’ (Bhog Bhoomi), but a ‘land of spiritual pursuit’ (Yog Bhoomi). Through its deeply cultural and spiritual undertones, the event helped redefine Goa’s identity on the national and international stage.

In short, the Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnaad Mahotsav was a powerful awakening of spiritual, cultural, and national consciousness across India. Rooted in the principles of sadhana, valour, and patriotism, it inspired a strong resolve among participants to restore India as a Hindu rashtra. This Shankhnaad became a rallying call, providing Hindus with confidence and clear direction. Just as Lord Krishna’s blowing of the ‘Panchjanya’ conch at Kurukshetra marked the start of the Mahabharata war; the triumph of righteousness over unrighteousness; this shankhnaad, held on the sacred land of Parashurama, symbolizes the dawn of a victorious era for Sanatan culture.
